They are low voltage fixed wiring in armoured and unarmoured variants.
R2V cable (also known as XV or RV cable) are rigid unarmoured power and control cables, whilst U-1000 RVFV cable (also known as XAV cable) are the armoured equivalent.
R2V XAV XV RV and RVFV Cable Application
They are used for the supply of electricity in a wide range of semi-industrial and industrial applications with a voltage rating of 600/1000V. This including lighting remote control and telecontrol installation systems, and other electrical devices. The U-1000 R2V cable can be fixed on cable trays, within conduits or to walls. The U-1000 RVFV is constructed with additional two layers of steel tape armouring and so can also be used outdoors and in direct burial installations or where additional protection against mechanical stresses is required.
